The Kobo Side Stool from Ishinomaki Laboratory is a versatile piece that effortlessly blends into any space. Its unique design, featuring a circular surface with a slice carved out, allows it to fit alongside walls or other furniture pieces. It's more than a stool; it can also function as a side table in an entryway, at one's bedside, or next to a sofa.
The stool is supported by a three-legged wooden frame and topped with a surface made of plywood-backed natural linoleum. Its simple form and tactile appeal maintain the essence of Ishinomaki Laboratory, yet embody a new style of proportion and design.
Designed by Keiji Ashizawa, a renowned architect known for his 'honest' design approach, the Kobo Side Stool is a testament to maximizing the potential of each material and its function.
