Sha'bi House Scarf, Oxalá

Jogakbo is a traditional Korean patchwork technique that utilizes leftover fragments of fabrics in new and larger pieces.

Inspired by this resourceful and sustainable approach to creation, various functional and thematic elements of traditional Sha’abi houses have been incorporated into the design of this distinctive scarf.

The scarf can be used as a wall tapestry, given its delicate materials and finishes, or as a clothing accessory.

The scarf is handmade in the UAE by Oxalá, a local Emirati-Portuguese design brand, using silk fabric and white thread. The threads are dipped in resin to give the drop effect at the end. It comes in a leather pouch with a narrative card.
